As a third generation San Diego native, Rachael Callahan’s roots are firmly planted in this beautiful city. Ms. Callahan earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, and her J.D. and Masters of Law in Taxation, from the University of San Diego, School of Law.
Ms. Callahan has extensive experience in family law helping guide clients through the process of divorce, paternity, child custody/visitation, division of assets/debts and Support.
Ms. Callahan’s combined legal career of over 18 years started her junior year of high school, when she worked in a boutique Family law firm as a receptionist and file clerk. Throughout the years prior to law school, Ms. Callahan gained experience as a legal assistant in some of the top family law firms in San Diego.
During law school Ms. Callahan clerked for the honorable Victor Bianchini, and interned for the Carlin Group, a local contract litigation firm. Ms. Callahan also participated in the Landlord/Tenant, Civil, and State Tax legal clinics at the University of San Diego, for five consecutive semesters. The clinic program allows certified students to fully represent clients in their legal matters, under the supervision of experienced lawyers.
While waiting for admission to the bar, Ms. Callahan worked part-time as the supervising law clerk for the University of San Diego State Tax clinic, and part-time clerking for civil litigation firm, Gruber and Donnet, and Certified Family Law Specialist, Anthony Beccarelli.
Ms. Callahan’s extensive pre-bar legal experience provided the foundation necessary to launch her career in Family Law immediately after her admission to the bar in March 2011.
Ms. Callahan is admitted to practice before all state courts in California. Ms. Callahan is admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern District of California.
